The book stresses the importance of voters understanding what ideologies and direction they want the U.S. government to follow in the future.
Government elections are key to the future of the US, which in turn is dependent on the US citizens who vote in these city, state and federal elections. Therefore, it’s imperative that voters are armed with relevant information and knowledge when they exercise their right to vote.

As is the case with many American citizens, author Jack Bartlett is part of the silent majority. “As an independent voter, I always vote, I am silent on government issues, and I do not join protesters. In most cases, I just survive and mind my own business. But it’s the independent voters and the silent majority who are going to determine who wins and who loses.”

Bartlett is angry at and embarrassed by politicians who were voted into their positions to represent the people, but whose political ideologies seem to fall along political party lines—contradicting the reason they were put into office. About the Author: Jack Bartlett served in the National Guard and paid his own way through college to get his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He worked in the semiconductor industry for 20 years and then began teaching math and algebra at the 7th and 8th grade level. He later taught computer skills, math and accounting to adults. Now retired, Bartlett teaches online students working to earn an AA degree. He was born and raised in California’s Silicon Valley and now lives in Reno, Nevada.
