Outskirts Press Announces the Release of New Non-Fiction: So You Want to Make a Bris: Everything You Need to Know About Having a Bris for Your Newborn Son by Henry Michael Lerner, M.D.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 17, 2020 ) Denver, CO and Boston, MA – A bris is a Jewish religious ceremony where a male infant is circumcised by a mohel on the eighth day after the baby’s birth. Dr. Henry Michael Lerner—a certified mohel and obstetrician-gynecologist—has created a guide to help parents plan and understand the ceremony. So You Want to Make a Bris: Everything You Need to Know About Having a Bris for Your Newborn Son has been published by Outskirts Press—the fastest-growing, full-service self-publishing and book marketing company.

Years ago when most Jews lived in fairly close communities and were more observant of religious rituals, couples having a baby boy found it easy to get information about having a bris. Now with many young Jewish couples living far from their parents and hometowns and with less knowledge and observance of Jewish customs, such information is less readily available.

So You Want to Make a Bris is a valuable guide that provides clear, accurate information about all aspects of the modern bris ceremony. The book will help couples:

Make decisions about having a bris

Choose a mohel—a ritual circumcizer

Understand the medical and religious aspects of this significant family event.
