(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 07, 2021 ) The recent pandemic has changed our world in many ways. After taking social interactions for granted for so long, it has been difficult for many to adapt to a new set of rules for our own safety. Many people have taken to the outdoors and open spaces to escape the confines of their home. Others, like me, haven’t felt so lost with the social restrictions because I have always felt quite at home in the outdoors, happily associating with nature in its true form. Simplification of one’s life is not always so easy for many because of where they live. Reading about life in uncomplicated form is the next best thing. This heartfelt collection of prose will relax and mellow the heart as it explores life, love, beauty, nature, happiness, hardships, dreams, and nostalgic memories. It is well worth one’s time to take a break from the hectic life and enjoy these observations because they uniquely capture the soft and gentle aspects of life.

Deftly constructed at 218 pages, Soft And Gentle 8: --- A Remembered Prose is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the poetry / American / general category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Soft And Gentle 8 meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $17.95.

About the Author

Jim is the youngest of eleven children and grew up on a farm near the rural small town of Metamora, Indiana. His parents started their life together about the time of the Great Depression, so their values and principles were a reflection of those difficult times. Their children were recipients of those same values and were served well by them. They were raised under old-school discipline, which seemed a little harsh to them at the time. They were also raised on hard work, but they were clever and innovative enough to make time for hard play as well. That same family farm where they were raised still resides in the family a hundred years after the grandparents settled there. Jim’s love for the land has led to him owning part of that farm for 48 years and still counting. In addition, he owned much of the valley surrounding it for much of his life. Growing up and living with nature in that valley has provided the backdrop and inspiration for much of his writing.
