Outskirts Press Announces the Release of New Christian Non-Fiction—From the Land of Pigs and Indians—by Dr. Dean Kroeker

A spiritual journey that began with a man who was obsessed with pigs and a woman who was obsessed with Indians…

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 05, 2018 ) Dr. Dean Kroeker goes beyond storytelling in his new non-fiction book, From the Land of Pigs and Indians—a faith-based, real-life story of powerful human drama and ministry. The book has been published by Outskirts Press—the fastest-growing, full-service self-publishing and book marketing company.
From the Land of Pigs and Indians features a loving Christian household in which the husband and wife are so committed to each other and to Christ, readers can’t help but learn from and be inspired by their interactions. It also highlights a stream of ministry passion that is not just flowing, but a volatile set of level-five rapids in a story of one family’s walk with God.
“As we began unabashedly following where the Lord was leading, we discovered how He had made us into exactly who we needed to be for this journey. The abnormal loves in our lives led us on a journey of serving and sharing the love of God to the hidden people of the world. And it all started with a man who was obsessed with pigs and a woman who was obsessed with Indians,” Dr. Kroeker explains. “That’s a pretty strange combination if you ask me. But, you know what? That weirdness, those strange loves are what made this story worth telling.”
Vivid, true, survivor-type experiences are presented in a very personal and touching way in this new book. Dr. Kroeker and his family share their experiences in vivid vignettes that are alive, personal, and descriptive of their generous hearts, physical and mental toughness, and commitment to underserved people. Their dedication and “all in” attitude toward building trust and working relationships with others who are less fortunate create a legacy of hope, trust, and courage, and the challenge to grasp the incredible truth of God’s love for each and all becomes obvious. Readers will be inspired to embrace their uniqueness and conquer the world!
